Free-up Some Change!

  • Prepare beverages, snacks, and cook food at home.
  • Choose internet over cable and dish.
  • Make a new circle of friends and homeschooling parents that are very frugal.
  • Try Red Box movies....text "727272"...type "SIGNUP" (free rental codes).
  • Do you really need the gym membership?
  • Search online and newpaper yard sales.
  • If possible, price-match or bargain shop. (Dollar Tree isn't always cheaper.)
  • Prepare a weekly menu with bulk foods.
  • Sign-up on a coupon database.
  • Purchase used books, gently worn clothing, and take small increments of cash when visiting retail stores.
  • Shop for bargains in stores (Aldi, 10-- Box, etc.) according to your geographical location. 
  • Compare the pros and cons of your cellphone carrier/provider and land line (if applicable).

Homeschooling

  • Determine your budget.
